Here's an attempt to get a global distributed meeting on democracy to occur on March 11 (the anniversary of the horrible Madrid bombings).

While I am skeptical of any tangible results coming from something like this, I still think it is a very good idea. Anything that tries to get people thinking about the real trade-offs involved in the ongoing fights for freedom and against terrorism is right-minded.

Slashdot reports that Battlestar Galactica got renewed on SciFi for a second season!!

This is, hands down, the best sci fi program running right now, so I'm really happy to see it renewed!!

It appears that the Asian bird flu was passed from daughter to mother, killing both. Not cool. This kind of thing makes you wonder if the whacko's holed up in mountain compounds with all their AK's don't have the right idea. Listen for the outbreaks, shoot anyone who comes near your compound and stay alive.
