If you are ever in the mood for really cool wallpapers check out digitalblasphemy.com. There are some free ones you can download and use, but it is worth the small fee to get a CD with everything they have created. Especially if you have multiple monitors, since they have wallpapers designed to span your monitors and that is really cool.

Here's an attempt to get a global distributed meeting on democracy to occur on March 11 (the anniversary of the horrible Madrid bombings).
 
While I am skeptical of any tangible results coming from something like this, I still think it is a very good idea. Anything that tries to get people thinking about the real trade-offs involved in the ongoing fights for freedom and against terrorism is right-minded.

Slashdot reports that Battlestar Galactica got renewed on SciFi for a second season!!

This is, hands down, the best sci fi program running right now, so I'm really happy to see it renewed!!
